After the experiment with Bob, I continued to watch 74.32 in case any other
activity came on while I took a lunch break.

Then I tuned in HiFERs for a while, getting good copy of USC, really strong
signals from the SIW duo, EH drifting down in frequency to almost settle on
top of 7P, and NC. EH was already splitting into two signals a hertz or so
apart at that point. Interestingly, the two SIWs faded at rather different
times from each other, but when there were signal level enhancements, those
seemed to occur simultaneously. Away from the watering hole, only a trace
of MTI could be heard, and nothing from anyone else.

Switched down to 137 until nearly 4:30 PM CST and got good copy of MP
(attached). Wish I'd also been running a session at QRSS60, as there
appears to be a trace of at least an "XN" in the early part of the capture.

Around that time, our partly sunny skies suddenly became full overcast, the
wind switched to the north, and the temperature began plummenting. It
became clear they weren't wrong about our wintry forecast for this evening,
so I realized I'd better prepare to pack up. I looked at HF one more time
and saw contnued good signal from USC and the SIWs, a single clear trace
from EH this time, which had fortunately wandered up a few Hz from a now
clearer 7P, and of course, NC. Up the dial, MTI and PBJ were both visible
and frequently audible. There was a little AJO on Argo with just barely
perceptible keying to the ear, but not really readable. GNK came in loud
and clear a few times yet was totally absent the rest of the time, There
were possible hints of FRC, but it was buried under SWBC sidebands.

Took a quick look back and saw XRS4 creating dogbones in QRSS, just a
smidgen above 74.321. At that point, I loaded up the car and got back to
town by sunset...where I do not plan to leave the house any more until the
wind dies down, and/or the temperature returns to the happy side of
freezing.
