I could see those on my grabber too. Not very strong here in Eastern
Ontario so it must have been a TACAMO aircraft out over the Pacific.
2014-12-28 1821-27(just narrow band FSK), 1931-37 (just narrow band
FSK), 1941-2016 (narrow band FSK and MSK)
Also, TACAMO noted on 17.8 at 2014-12-28 between 2205 and 2227,
considerably stronger and likely over the Atlantic.
Also, Laurence, during the winter months I regularly see the Russian
BETA time transmissions at 06, 07, 09, and sometimes 11 UTC. I have
positively ID'ed the transmissons at 07, 09, and 11 but haven't been
able to positively ID that at 06 UTC. It follows the same pattern as the
11 UTC transmission from RJH63 Krasnodar but I don't know if is in fact
RAB99 Khabarovsk or just an earlier transmission by RJH63. Do you see
the 06 UTC BETA time signal transmission from your location?
cheers, Graham ve3gtc in Eastern Ontario Canada FN25ig 45.2N 75.2W
