Over the past couple weeks I have gotten input and suggestions from a 
number of list members on things to do to improve the Wm signal. I have 
been making changes and testing to see if the results improve the 
signal. Most of the results went backwards, and a few actually seemed to 
help. With my fingers crossed, I introduce a new full size loading coil 
tonight with a sliding variometer coil to resonate the vertical flattop. 
I hope it stays in tune, and you guys see an improvement in the signal 
strength.

This is only one small step of a number that I know need to be made to 
transition the beacon to the final installation. I am still running the 
same 26 Ft tall antenna, in close proximity to metal buildings and 
trees. I also am still using a "slammed" together ground system 
including the 24 ft extension ladder.  I will get those addressed in the 
up-coming months.
