I wonder where he obtained the oven-stabilized oscillator?
I've been tempted to build the AMRAD converter even after having good
results (with QRSS30 as the slowest mode I've tried) with my Jackson
Harbor Press upconverter that uses a 4.0 MHz computer xtal.
Mostly just 'cause I like to build things. ;) Probably I should be
building a low-pass, 500 kHz filter first to cut down on the local AM BC
junk around here.
The e-place and the usual surplus outlets seem to have a ton of 10 MHz
units, a good quantity of 5 MHz units, but I've not seen many else.
Ideally, I'd like to find one that is 7 MHz so I'm using the 40M band in
the KX3, but so far, no luck.
thanks much and 73,
