I hope I am answering your question properly but feel like I will leave something out. I am using MMVARI version 0.45 "beta" as posted for download at http://hamsoft.ca/pages/mmvari.php . In terms of other specifics regarding the actual modulation, I am afraid I don't know the answer to that.
Perhaps a developer on this list will decide to fill the void going forward.
Thanks again for all your help and info. If there is something more specific that I can provide you to help identify the specifics of GMSK I and others are running, please let me know.

Thanks for that additional information, JL. Most helpful. Just one further
question, if I may: which implementation of MMVari are you using for GMSK?
I'm aware of the .ocx file being available for download; but by itself it's
only a Windows OLE controls library, not an executable, so it has to be used
as an engine with some other code wrapped around it. I found some few sites
with software of that sort, such as the N1MM Logger, but of all the 10,500
pages Google lists for it, I haven't found one thus far which lists the
station control features you mentioned. Documentation on the Web seems to
be piecemeal at best.
