A common affliction among old (and I do mean old) telephone guys. <g>

I remember having trouble with a a broadcast loop back in the '70s. I 
was out at the transmitter site, and there was a nice 400 Hz General 
Radio audio generator in the rack. I patched it into the line to see if 
the guy at the C.O. could hear it. He wanted to know what the "hum" was. 
Guess they only responded to 1004.
