Okay..so I couldn't stand the suspense. I brought it up and looked at it
in NDB mode. The cw will be shown a la QRSS on the lower screen. The red
vertical stripe is the upper limit of of what is being displayed in that
lower, horizontal scroll. The width of that spectrum will be determined
by the sampling rate you select. I tried it so see.
Grab the scroll tool at the bottom of the screen to scroll the spectrum
to a different place. Your red stripe will not move the spectrum that
is displayed will change. Instead of 3500 (in your case) being under
that red 'ceiling' line maybe 7000 will be there and if you look at the
left edge you will see it is no longer at zero but is 3500 lower than
whatever is under the red stripe. You use those tools to look at
"windows" of spectrum on your display.
