Curses, foiled again. If I had been able to go to the field right when Bob
announced his plans, it probably would have worked 'cause things were still
pretty quiet right then.

By the time I got done shooting photos, though, there were two large areas
of thunderstorms each about 120 miles distant in different directions.
Static varied from S5 to S9+20 on 2200m, so all I got was thin random lines
about where MP and XEB should have been, plus another wandering carrier that
has been showing up just below MP lately. As of now, the thunderstorms in
central Missouri have weakened, but the ones that were northwest of Wichita
have formed a substantial line in central and southern Kansas that's now
less than 100 miles away. That'll probably spoil my plans to go out later
tonight.

Even 22m was experiencing some static, but at the watering hole, USC, MP,
BC, and NC were still quite good, though BC had more fading than the others.
EH was not doing very well today, and I didn't see EDJ at all. Elsewhere,
PBJ appeared to be below MTI in frequency, and wasn't consistent enough in
level to decode. MTI was nicely audible at times, then gone again a few
seconds later.
