[Lowfer] EAR in ME - Daytime!

Just when you think that you've been doing this stuff too long, and have
seen everything, along comes this morning. With the power-line radiated
noise gone from the camps to either side of ours, things were pretty
quiet last night except for the T-storm activity around TX. Tried to get
SIW, but just had fragments around sunrise. SJ is on the air with
QRSS20, but that's easy stuff.

So, this morning, I looked for MP, and caught the tail end of a
character, and nothing more. Then I tried to think of who else might be
on the air, and came up with EAR. Now, I've tried this in the daytime
for years from the Maine QTH, and never gotten anything at all. It's a
bit of a nasty frequency because of TV sweep harmonics, and combined
with the typical "buzz" from the neighbor to the south, it has only been
copied at night.

The capture below was taken at mid-morning...the time stamps are UTC.
Could have dropped the gain and gotten less crud. The signal level was
higher at the start, and probably indicates the beginning of a
mid-morning fade, which is common with MP.

Distance is 561 miles, due east/west. My thanks go to the elderly guy
next door who left for NC about a week ago, and his local friend who
went into his camp yesterday and shut off all the electrical stuff that
had been left running...

And thanks to J.B. for keeping EAR going!
