John, thanks for the Opera32 transmissions. I was away and didn't see
your note until after 2330Z, but I had a deep search version running on
autopilot looking not far off your heading with a loop antenna. Jay's
been helping me get that code run right - it's not for the
faint-hearted. Saw a decode at 23:33:22 but the frequency was 137510 Hz.
That's because the opds.ini file was programmed for a center frequency
of 137550 Hz, but I was actually using 137560 Hz (DK7FC's usual
frequency). I corrected that and the 01:33:22 decode was:

DF6NM JN59NJ Opera-32 correlation
http://df6nm.bplaced.net/opera/opds.zip

date time call distance frequency bandwidth snr correlation

2013-10-21 01:33:22 WD2XES 1365km 137519.991Hz 3mHz -27.2dBOp 77% 18.7dB

I had some seconds where the frequency was moved and also experienced
"neighbor QRM" in the last 10-minute window. That may explain why the
correlation was only 77% (it was 99% for the first transmission). Ran
ARGO at QRSS3 simultaneously and it showed your CW pattern easily so
Opera32 detection was no big deal at 1 W ERP. I haven't seen any decodes
at the lower level (-50.2 dB SNR) and that would have been impressive.
