Welcome Jim ,
Always glad to see a new face get involved here .
SIW is a part 15 LowFER beacon , located in Oswego , Illinois .
Garry has had a beacon on for 2 or 3 years . He has one of the better
beacons on the air .
This year he has been running some experiments with different modulation
methods involving graphics as compared to just the standard QRSS60 or
some combination of a couple of different methods .
He has a schedule when he switches frequencies between 185.185 kHz. and
185.2993 .
Beacon information can be found here for 1750 and 2200 meters :
http://www.lwca.org/sitepage/part15/index.htm
The main web site is www.lwca.org . There are links there to a lot of
information on the operators and the frequency and status of beacons .
