I use a R75 with a Clifton Labs active probe located about 150 yards from the house with two of Jack's recommended common mode chokes grounded as Jack recommends. The common mode chokes make a tremendous difference in reducing local manmade noise. I use a 9 pole low pass filter to eliminate BCB overload. Sometimes I use a GPS disciplined up converter depending on where in the LF band I am listening. I plan to add GPS disciplining to the R75 per W1VD when I get time.
