It was quite a bit more intense last night than tonight.  Wish it hadn't 
been so cloudy here; othersie, it might have been visible, as it was 
elsewhere in Kansas.

Unfortunately, the thunderstorms due north of here are having quite an 
effect tonight.  Even before dark, noise was S9 and higher.  That's the 
downside of living at the lower end of a region of 30 mmho/m conductivity 
(30 mS/m for SI fans).  Natural noise doesn't get attenuated very much by 
the journey, especially the lower in frequency you go.
