Hi Mike,

What a pleasant surprise, especially since I don't run a Medfer (at
least not according to the band breakdown per LWCA at
http://lwca.org/sitepage/part15/index.htm). But I do run a pair of
Hifers and you certainly copied them nicely. That's impressive because
for HF we're relatively close. Mitch runs a hifer too but at just 600 km
apart I seldom copy it, while others farther away copy it easily. The
slash code hifer transmits via a ground-mounted quarter-wave vertical
and the QRSS6 hifer transmits via a horizontal dipole up about 30'.
Thanks for the nice capture.

Hifer activity isn't what it used to be around the watering hole (same
for lowfer activity) but John Davis has made some great catches from his
central US location showing at times EDJ, NC, BC, 7P, EH, MP, SIWs, USC,
and others no doubt I've missed. Higher in frequency PBJ, MTI, and FRC
come in here fairly often.
