Jay, opds32 finally produced something other than VO1NA tonight:
2013-11-03 01:04:18 DK7FC 7041km 137559.926Hz 22mHz -40.7dBOp 94% 18.4dB
2013-11-03 00:29:17 DK7FC 7041km 137559.924Hz 5mHz -46.5dBOp 97% 16.9dB
The frequency readout is about 0.01Hz high despite being calibrated and
locked to GPS. Must be some offset bias introduced by spec lab. I know
when I use a digital filter the center is shifted slightly from what I
specify.
I've also noticed the "faster than real time" results in some decodes.
And even when the signal stays strong I seldom seem to get decodes every
35 minutes, instead they're usually 70 minutes apart.
But deep search does help. I'm running regular Opera on another setup
and even though ARGO at QRSS30 shows both VO1NA and DK7FC, no decodes
have occurred yet. Noticed WD2XES briefly earlier but perhaps he was up
for too short a time to decode. The FFT peak certainly looked strong enough.
