Thanks for that link, JD.

After reading the UTC comments, I fail to understand why the utility
companies need to have all the spectrum from 9-490 kHz available to them
for their PLC systems. Is it not possible to give up just 2.1 kHz of all of
that expanse for the Amateur Radio service that has contributed so much to
the communications industry via our experimentation and innovation over the
decades? It could easily be for THEIR BENEFIT in the future.  Furthermore,
they are probably using very little of that whole expanse anyway.

Amateurs have shown clearly that no interference has occurred over the past
several years of experimental use, AND even at power levels much above
those that would be granted by the FCC.

I see the UTC and power companies as being hoarders of this expanse of
spectrum.

Just my dollars worth....
