Yea,

I'm in the shop listening to WD2XSH/7 booming in waiting for a decode and
working on another version of the phasing exciter. I had trouble with the
last one getting the opposite sideband rejected. I have searched for board
errors and searched - made a different board separating the phase shifting
circuit from the mixers, combiner and amp and everything tests great. The
first one had a weird problem in the adjustment op/amp. Could not get the
two signals amplitude to be equal without dropping the value of the
adjustment feedback resistor and pot. The input signals were equal. When I
changed the feedback 7.5K resistor to 2.2K to get the amplitude right, then
the phase shift went to heck.

New board - no problem.???

Pat

RR. Kinda like watching paint dry. During on the air beta testing ocassional
decodes as low as -39
dB were seen ... although -36, -37 and -38 were much more common.
