 XPQ  tx offline at AK dawn this morning - nice burn in for the tx :-) Thanks for the reports chaps - all very useful stuff and far better than I would have imagined over the land path, and would bode for TransPacific/Polar on a good day. I worked on the TS850 GPS referenced drive very early this morning and can now key the PA directly at signal freq (or twice)- so can now play with dfcw/wspr/last night at etc.  I should have the higher power PA online but still have some uprating to do on the tuner. The tx antennae is a close to self resonant loop and appears very benign tuning wise even in fairly windy conditions - certainly easier to keep on tune than 137. Ill be back on 506.881/2 later this evening with DFCW or some other dasterdly digital dilema mode Laurence KL 1 X   WE 2 XPQ Wasilla Alaska BP51
