Four Hz high?  In that case, maybe my MLS session wasn't so unproductive 
after all.  What I saw wasn't enough to ID, but there was definite RF just 
above 186.204 kHz.  If I'd had any idea that might've been the signal I was 
looking for, I would have hunkered down and watched another hour or so.

Illustrates the importance of stating one's operating parameters as 
precisely as possible for slow modes.
