If you park on 650 WSM's frequency in the  evenings you should
be able to hear the "Cuban Wobbler" also, whether you are  listening
in CW or AM mode. 

The Cuban Wobbler appears to be a station  in Cuba on the same frequency
that is running some kind of Eastern European  transmitter with
a defective crystal or frequency generator. 

Mostly  it is within a few Hz of WSM and not noticeable then all of a 
sudden 
it  breaks into some kind of unstable wobble in frequency for a few minutes 
then  settles down again. I understand this has been going on for years.
It almost  sounds like deliberate jamming but I don't think it is. The 
Cubans
have made  no attempt to ever fix the problem.

I think it is heard mainly in the  Southern states at night. A similar 
"Wobbler" 
carrier can be heard on top of  740 and 870 at night also.
