[Lowfer] SSB UPPER SIDEBAND 510 TONITE...

Heard some of the activity tonight.  It really would be helpful for 
reception out here to use a lower frequency, or if that's not practical, at 
least lower sideband.

As was, I didn't experience any interference from OF 510 in Norfolk, NE, but 
HMY 512 in Lexington, OK, was horrendous.  I was able to notch the 2 kHz 
note of the carrier, but not the keyed 980 Hz resulting from their lower 
sideband.  If it were not for that, I would have heard a lot more of the 
discussion about loading coils.  Eric's signal was the best of the lot, and 
I probably would have had intelligible copy of Bob more of the time too if 
the NDB ident weren't there.  Never could detect a signal from Warren, 
though.

It was a pleasant evening out in the field.  Almost no QRN, and relatively 
warm compared to recent nights.  Wish I could have stayed longer, but duty 
calls.
