I use a separate email account (wa8ejh at gmail.com) for radio-related
email. That makes it easier, especially when I'm using my android
tablet. I still get a lot of mail, but that's because I'm on multiple
radio-related mailing lists. The Gmail app on my tablet makes it easy
to switch between email accounts. Using multiple (free!) email accounts
helps me keep my business, personal, and radio lives separate and simpler.

Using Gmail's mail filters (other mail systems and mail clients also
provide this) lets mail from different mailing lists go automatically
into separate folders. This helps a lot. With the right filter rules,
both incoming and outgoing messages are automatically put in the
appropriate folder. This reduces the noise level in the inbox folder
considerably and I'm less likely to overlook or otherwise miss non-list
emails.

The fundamental problem is that I'm interested in too many things.
Information overload is unavoidable. But it's better than not being
interested in anything and letting my brain atrophy. (Wait! Maybe that
has already happened.)
