Hi Bill:

To briefly re-iterate previous posts.. Getting the Windom
matched at MF and LF frequencies must be done - OR - ALL !
you will see, and hear is random noise and nothing but the
" Big Gun " signals will come thru.. Here is a link to a
hand drawn description of how I use my Windom for receive:

The Inductors were salvaged from an old tube A.M. Radio..
They are slug tunable.. And the Air Variable Caps are also
out of old tube radios.. Tuning ( Q ) will be extremely
tight which in my opinion is a good thing, so careful tuning
is needed to find " true " matching, or resonance, whichever
term you like to use.. Maximum noise level does not mean
maximun signal reception..

Once you have worked out the matching issue; your next BIG
enemy will be In House noise, and neighborhood generated noise..
These are not fun to find and deal with " At All !! " However !
One at a time; find, and fix them, and watch your reception
results on LF steadily improve..

Nuff said already on the software stuff..

On the SDR - IQ ; my name is sergeant Shultz.. I know nothing !!
The OPs on the list who do will surely be happy to help you there.
I use a Kenwood TS450S receiving directly at LF, with no pre-amp..

Good luck with your endeavours, and welcome to the world of LF..
