Either or both are possible.  Saturday night when there was such incredible 
enhancement on a few of them, I had to turn down the drive to my clipper to 
prevent mixing products, but then I apparently got into crossover distortion 
from the receiver's audio amp.  The line output of the radio might be a 
better option for me when I need to bypass the clipper and go directly to 
the soundcard, but I didn't have an attenuating cable handy.
