For a change of pace ... after watching the DK7FC 'show' on OPDS32 ... decided to look for Navtex
stations on the easterly beverage. Surprised that there were no EU stations decoded but got a late
start. Did receive the following stations:
M - Simiutaq Greenland
C - Seven Islands NB
Q - Sydney NS
R - San Juan PR
U - Saint John NB
X - Labrador NL
A - Miami FL
E - Charleston NC
F - Boston MA
G - New Orleans LA
N - Chesapeake VA
B - Bermuda
Bermuda was coming in quite a while after local sunrise which was somewhat noteworthy. I'm always
amazed, after being away from Navtex reception for a while, how effective this mode is. SeaTTY pulls
out remarkably clean copy with barely audible signal strength - impressive for the speed of copy ...
and it recovers quickly after a fade. Wish there was a slower speed version to try for really weak
signal work.
Hoping to find time to get the west beverage hooked to the #2 R-75 and try running two instances of
SeaTTY on separate sound card audio channels - one for each direction.
