Mark & All: Obvious thermal effects from my nearby furnace this evening, but a solid signal from XNI on/near 186.0 KHz....
First capture is with my FT-817 equipped with the TCXO and 500Hz Collins filter & 500Hz BFO center bandpass offset

Second capture with my FT-847 with foam booties on the master oscillator xtal, 300 Hz Collins filter, and 25 Hz audio DSP & 650 Hz BFO center bandpass offset.

Not that much difference in frequency stability (or lack thereof) and the narrower filtering in the FT-847 seems to help a bit....
Modified HD-1420 VLF converter driving both from an output magic Tee splitter....
