Yes - you could really get a nice swing to that message. TREE was a great ending, and it was very rare that no one hearing that "test message" didn' answer with a couple of dits. I was 2-1/2 years at 78 North - all CW networks to Army Signal Corps stations in the South. Best winter was -63 F.
Just remember the good stuff now.
