I have a little PIC board about the size of a stamp that I use to generate QRSS keying. The chip cost less than a dollar and the whole thing is really simple. It programs in a very simple assembly language program. No computer to get tied up. Can do a combo of CW and QRSS also. It will fit into one of those Jumbo 1/4 inch jacks.

Yes I see it's just sending X plus CW ID. I was using KØLR's old DOS keyer program but the computer it was on died. I'm now running the ON7YD QRSS keyer on a windows computer. So far I don't see a way to insert a CW ID between each character of the QRSS call. I thought maybe the different text lines could be linked with one character in each line with a CW ID in between but that's isn't working. So it will be just an X with CW ID for now.
