Just a few comments re: transmission from M P. As the weather has warmed ( and sap is flowing ) ....
First - there has been no change at all in DC levels at the transmitter. Still 250 watts DC.
All through the Winter the antenna current has been unchanged at exactly 20 amps. No change in 
tuning antenna or trees.
Yesterday I went out ( when the temperature hit an unprecedented 68F and checked the tuning unit ) where the
rf ammeter is located - was measuring 18.5 ish amps.
Back at the "shack" the DC current was absolutely unchanged - resonance was still indicated and 
no tuning was done.
The loop certainly is stable for tuning - maybe once a month I touch it up - but it always remains at the
same point ( variable capacitor used for fine tuning ).

Any "off-air-moments" are usually when I do a small bit of receiving....
