[Lowfer] "T" and "SL" Last Night in CA

Hi Steve,

Antenna is home brew active whip (designed  and installed in 1980).

Receiver is home brew breadboard SDR with DDS LO.  I really need to
make new PC boards for the SDR and package it in some sort of enclosure,
but since the breadboard is running OK I would rather be designing other 
stuff.

The current DDS has pretty good thermal performance but I am planning  
to stabilize
it with my GPS disciplined oscillator. The DDS is currently manually 
tuned with an encoder.

I plan to update the firmware so that the SDR can be controlled by HDSDR 
via Omni-Rig.

I have played with LF and VLF  (receive only) since 1980. My wife thinks 
beacon hunting
is a very strange hobby. She cannot believe that anybody would listen to 
static.
With the SDR I showed her that not only can I listen to static but now I 
can look at it.
