Using a 30 ft by 3 inch aluminum tubing vertical with a 13 ft sloping 3  
wire top hat into a IC-R75 receiver with a L.F. Engineering preamp. I'm 84 and 
 the ears and eyes aren't the best anymore so I may be a little off giving 
out  the frequency. Hope to have a new 10 foot rotateable  loop back up, the 
 high winds destroyed my other one.

I often listen to NDB JJH in Johnstown,NY on 523kHz it can go  from nothing 
to very loud in the space of 10 minutes or so..
