[Lowfer] TAG & Antennas

I took down the mini whip I put up last week and threw up another loop.  
This loop is situated N/S, is made of about 150' wire, max height is 
about 25' and is fed with coax to a 9:1 balun at the feed point.  No 
preamp.  The balun was made from a core salvaged from an old computer 
PSU.  The first pic is a capture of TAG as just received.  The second 
pic is TAG as received with mini whip last week.  Needless to say, the 
mini whip has been retired after only trying it for a few hours total.

As a side note, TAG's QRSS signal cannot be seen on the big E/W loop but 
when TAG was running Wolf, I could get decodes.

Just for the heck of it, I took the preamp from my Burhan's 8' shielded 
loop and hooked it up to my big loop a couple of days ago. It works real 
well as it has brought some NDBs out of the mud and made them Q5 without 
swamping the rec with noise.  Plus it has a BCB built in.
