[Lowfer] why I haven't reported any signals in a couple of days...

I'm having about half an acre of "jungle" cleared behind my house. The man
I hired is using a "front end loader" and a very large "track hoe". So far,
he has hauled out at least 20 dump truck loads of trash, and I have no idea
how many cords of firewood. Couple of days ago, I arrived home from work to
find my 20' active antenna mast bent in the middle at a 90 degree angle,
lol. Apparently, there was some sort of mishap with a tree limb. I turned
on the receiver just to make sure the antenna wasn't damaged, and it still
seemd to be operational, but I took the whole thing down and laid it on the
ground away from the "loading area", to prevent any further damage.
Fortunately, I have some replacement mast sections, but I don't believe I
will stand the antenna back up until all the work is completed, which
should be sometime Monday or Tuesday.

The good thing, radio wise, is one all the work is complete, I should get
much better reception *and* I'll have a lot more room to put up more
antennas. Not really looking forward to all the extra mowing next year.

Here is a pic of just part of what has been cleared. Obviously, he isn't
finished yet.

I should have taken a "before" pic. The cleared area you see was so thick
with trees and underbrush it was difficult to walk through.
