I just returned from a 54 day hospitalization without internet access.
Unfortunately  I received the following note.

Bill was a good friend. I was the first to copy his 555-timer transmitter
when he broke into the hobby.

I will miss him.

Hi Mike -

I hope this e-mail finds you well.

We've never met, but I'm the daughter of Bill Ashlock (WM); I've been
living in Seattle for the last 11 years.

I understand that you communicated with and met my dad while enjoying your
shared lowfer hobby.

I'm very sorry to say that my father died suddenly over the weekend of a
heart attack.  My mom specifically requested that I track you down and let
you know.  (So I hope I've got the right e-mail address;

email.com, but as I'd not heard of that domain, I thought I'd try gmail as
well.)

Lowfer antennas were one of my dad's favorite hobbies both before and after
he retired almost a decade ago.  Thanks for being one of the reasons that
he enjoyed it so much.

If you have the time, can you please let anyone else in the lowfer
community who knew him know that he has passed away?  I'd very much
appreciate it.
