On one hand, who actually "listens" to Loran-C? <g>

On the other, I had a kind of flashback when I tuned it in tonight. Nice 
signal here, but without the dual-rating, it sounds just like I remember 
it from the early '70s. Back then, I used the signal from Nantucket to 
calibrate a 100 kHz "standard" by the simple act of just feeding the 100 
kHz signal into a grossly-detuned AM radio set for reception on 100 kHz. 
A simple audio level meter on the output was enough to allow slowing the 
beat until it was frozen.

Then dual-rating came along, and the cal method got more complicated. 
Nice while it lasted, though.
