WE2XGR/2 will be transmitting in Lentus mode tonight on 506.5 kHz from about 2300 - 0200Z. Lentus is
an 'FSK' mode that claims to be usable down to a minimum s/n ratio of -34 dB (relative to an SSB
bandwidth). The only known decoder is available in MultiPSK. That software can be downloaded at:

Accurate computer timing is very important. An easy way to accomplish this is to use a 'time
keeping' program to automatically adjust your computer clock to an NIST standard on a regular basis
(every half hour is normally sufficient). The program Ive used for years is D4 Time and is available
at:

Sampling rate and frequency accuracy are also important although maybe not quite to the level
required by WOLF. Transmissions are keyed to the computer clock and are nearly 5 minutes in length.
Transmissions will start on the top of the hour (actually 4 seconds after) and continue at 10 minute
intervals for tonight's test.
Reports are appreciated. Conditions have been below average of late so this may be a good
opportunity to check out the weak signal capability of Lentus.
