"another good alternative for coupling to the radio might be a line
impedance stabilization network"
I have a reallt nice one, picked it up for about $40 from an EMC lab.
Currently they seem to go for about a grand, but I can't find the gold
bricks or cocaine they must be filled with!
Thinking of a poor-mans version using a brute force RFI filter from some
computer equipment, then sampling the output which feeds a device in
operation. The sampled output would feed a general coverage receiver. This
would only serve to show what kind or RFI can be expected from each
individual device plugged into it. It doesn't need to be calibrated or
traceable, just a low enough output to the RX to be heard, maybe give a
slight indication of a received signal.
