I may have been the first to capture the return of WMS yesterday afternoon,
per my previous post with this subject line. Looks like it's doing nicely
across a good chunk of the country, Paul.
I did return to the field, as noted, with no results from a couple of hours
of looking for JAM...at least, not at .016+, though there was briefly some
vague activity a tenth or two under .015. I switched my attention to sl for
a couple of hours, and returned to looking for JAM until the computer
battery ran down and it went into hibernate mode about 4 AM (much the same
thing I had done an hour earlier). Still no sign at that point.
On the other hand, the low end of 136 was a veritable cornucopia of RF last
night, with abundant clear sightings of SL and plenty of other signals that
were less clear at the settings I was using. (Wish I'd remembered to take
the digital recorder to the field so I could try other processing later at
home! That's what I bought the darn thing for.) Attached is one of the
earlier captures. All but one of the others faded out by roughly 1 AM.
Steve, if I sent you the whole collection of captures, would you be willing
to see if you recognize who some of these were?
John
