Wm has been sending dashes at ~ 1 per second this afternoon in order to allow for mapping of the signal at different locations in the area. Haven't used the SVM and the mag-mount E-probe for years and it's good to be getting back at this. I've been wondering for a long time if the local mountains have an effect on the surface wave... and a vertical antenna's omni pattern is a lot better than a loop for this. I also need to establish a reference signal strength level in the far field to determine the effect of raising the loading coil to different heights.
