John, thanks for the report. I checked my hifer and found the current 
limiter in the power supply had tripped, after running months at the 
same setting. Oh well, all it took was a boost in the limiter setting 
and the beacon was running correctly again. HF conditions seem really 
poor today - hardly any decodes of European stations on 20 mtr Opera and 
ROS.
