Yes, the Luxembourg Effect is for real (for example, see 
http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/haarp/factSheet.html), but that isn't why 
Rick is seeing IM products. If it were the case then everyone would see 
those products and we don't. Most likely Rick's receive setup is 
overloading and that non-linearity is the cause. I mentioned the "rusty 
bolt" phenomenon because that is also a possible cause, but I think in 
this case much less likely. Rick's IM looks to be classic two-signal 
third order since I don't see any triple-beat product at 23.6 kHz 
(25.2+24.8-24).
