Subject: [Lowfer] waterfall of Lowfer band
Tried something mildly interesting a few minutes ago with the SDR. This is
waterfall jpg of the entire Lowfer band (well, slightly more, 155-195 kHz)
in the daytime at my QTH. The frequency markers at the bottom are hard to
make out. You can see all the steady carriers, most of which are probably
PLCs. You can also see the carrier on the right side of the screen, around
185 kHz, which seems to be regularly sending some sort of data pulse. This
one is always very active and is the one that interferes with the "watering
hole" at my QTH.
There is also some sort of weird signal around 170 kHz, which almost looks
like MSK, but is just some sort of noise when you listen to it.
At least Loran is gone.
