XES signal is quite strong here which makes it difficult to compare the two modes. With the back of 
the antenna toward you, the preamp out of line and with 24 dB attenuation in place I can reduce the 
signals to a point near the reception threshold. This drops the signals into the receiver noise 
floor which is, of course,  relatively 'sterile'. The better test would be as we normally do ... 
with XES running a weak 'micro power' signal and letting the band noise wreak it's havoc on the weak 
signals. Results are below. There were a few more missed JT9-2s than WSPRs.
