Interesting point about age and GFCIs.  I wonder what the operational life 
expectancy is on one of those?  Evidently, at 25 years, Dex's is still 
working, albeit maybe a little too well.  But there aren't many electronic 
devices you leave powered up continuously for a quarter century or more and 
still expect to continue working at peak condition.  And goodness knows, 
most of us don't test them on any definite schedule.  Do they have a 
reliable failsafe mode, I wonder, or do they simply stop working and leave 
the unsuspecting user at risk?
