No worries, I've done that a couple of times.
I blame Gmail.
Gmail likes to offer "suggestions" about who you would like to send your
e-mails to. If you ignore Gmail's "suggestions" it automatically assumes
that it was correct in it's assumptions and sends the e-mail both to those
you wanted to receive it, and to those Gmail assumed you wanted to receive
it.
So, I've (hopefully) learned to be more diligent in watching the "To:" box
before I click "Send".
It's annoying, but not enough for me to drop Gmail, which (other than this)
I find extremely convenient.
