Bob,
Good question.
The honest answer is I don't remember why. I purchased my R-75 several
years ago, determined that it needed to be in CW reverse for proper Argo
usage, set it that way, and then didn't think about it anymore.
I *think* the reason was, if you don't put it in reverse mode, higher
frequencies will show up lower down on the Argo screen (the opposite of
what one would expect).
Or I could be completely in error.
Perhaps someone with a better memory than me can further explain.....
