Brought the receiving gear up from the basement, dusted it off, and put all
the pieces together this afternoon. Had left the active antenna setup all
summer and was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was still operational
after a very close lightning strike about three weeks ago that caused all
the little compact flourescent lamps in the house to light up in spite
of the power being off.

Any Lowfers transmitting this early in the season?
