Since reworking my 160 meter Windom a short time back, I haven't done any listening below 600 meters with it,
so I parked on 2200 meters overnight.. I suppose reception was fair, DCF-39 was clearly audible, and about
2 S-Units above the average band noise.. I started out on 137.780, and Dex was overheating the input to the
RF stages of the radio, I thought I smelled smoke at one time.... ( just kidding of course ).. It's been so long
since I used any of the software that it took me some time to get it all re-calibrated.. There were 2 other stations
in there with " XKO " , I didn't catch who.. " MP " didn't really start showing up for me until around 3am in the
morning, and peaked very nicely about an hour before sunrise. So Mitch was in there solidly for 4 hours.
I did try to receive " DK7FC " on 136.172 for a couple of hours up till about his sunrise, but as usual, no luck.
Then switched back to 137.780 for the rest of the night... The attached capture is the best reception, and was
at 6am EDST ( 10:00 UTC ) ... Dex was still coming in audibly at 9 am, but hey !! his gigger-watt transmitter
does go around the world yuh know.... hi - hi

73 all, and have a Blessed day:
