[Lowfer] How do I set RF Gain for maximum sensitivity

Thanks to everyone who has responded so far, both on, and off list. I have been experimenting with
different settings tonite with the static crashes in there. And here is what I have observed so far.
As you know; WSPR has a waterfall display, and looking at the signal on the display; with RF Gain
" wide open ", static crashes in abundance, the received signal shows up very broken in the display.
And the color of the line is very broken up " dotted " as it were... After adjusting the RF Gain control
to the point where the S-Meter just stops deflecting upwards from the static, the received signal line is 
solid in color, and not broken up. Static crashes are peaking at an S-8, so I set the RF Gain for a 
reading of S-9 on the meter... The attachment of the display shows the difference between the 2 settings
