Hi John,
There is another neat little keyer module for sale called the  cwkTiny made 
by some folks over in Germany.
It is QRSS capable and can be  used and programmed with a standard PC 
keyboard.
I ordered one last year but  haven't put mine together yet. The Price is 
very reasonable  too!

It appears  the K12 will do everything the KID2 would, but having to be 
programmed in  Morse by the user is not a very comforting thought.  More so 
for those  of us who have never used a paddle, and find that prospect alone 
confusing  enough.  :)
